CAIRO, Feb 8 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Saturday affirmed Egypt's keenness on boosting bilateral relations with Uganda in various domains, in particular the political, economic and security ones.

Abdelatty made the remarks during a phone call with Uganda's Minister of State for International Affairs Henry Oryem Okell, within the framework of continued coordination and consultation between the two countries regarding several issues of mutual concern.

The top Egyptian diplomat underscored the importance of holding the second round of the political and technical consultations during February, for the benefit of achieving mutual interests.

During the phone call, the two sides exchanged views on a number of regional files of common interest and emphasized the significance of maintaining coordination at regional and international forums, ahead of the upcoming African summit.

Both sides agreed on exchanging support in regional and international organizations.

The Ugandan top diplomat asserted appreciation of friendship and cooperation relations between Cairo and Kampala, hailing the Egyptian role in supporting the ongoing development efforts in Uganda.

Okell said that he is looking forward to promoting cooperation between the two sides throughout the coming period. (MENA)
