CAIRO, Feb 6 (MENA) - Members of the House of Representatives and the Senate agreed Thursday on the utter rejection of the irresponsible statements issued by a number of members of the Israeli government regarding implementing a plan to displace the Palestinian people from their land, which is a blatant and flagrant violation of the international law, the humanitarian law and the most basic rights of the Palestinian citizens.

They added that they and all segments of the Egyptian people stand united behind President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to take all measures to protect Egypt's national security.

Senate Deputy Speaker Phoebe Fawzy said in statements to MENA, she strongly supports the courageous and decisive Egyptian moves through which Egypt clearly declared its complete rejection of the forced displacement of the Palestinians from their own territories.

Fawzy highly appreciated what Sisi emphasized on all occasions, that this proposal is "dangerous to the Palestinian cause," and that any attempt to impose it is completely rejected by Egypt.

Egypt sent a clear message to all parties that peace in the region is in danger due to these deviant ideas, she said, noting that this message is a clear warning and a red line to nip in the bud any attempts that would lead to the region slipping into a state of violence and chaos.

MP Magdy Ashour, the member of the Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives and Assistant Secretary of the Central Follow-up Secretariat of the Future of the Nation Party, said he categorically rejected statements issued by a number of members of the Israeli government regarding a plan to displace the Palestinian people from their land.

It is a blatant and flagrant violation of the international law, the humanitarian law, and the most basic rights of the Palestinian citizens, he noted.

Ashour indicated that he completely rejects any proposal or vision that aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause by uprooting the Palestinian people or displacing them from their land and seizing it, whether temporarily or permanently.

Egypt, the government and people, will not be a party to any measures that represent injustice and infringement on the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, he said vehemently.

"Egypt, under the leadership of President Sisi, has been clear from the first moment in rejecting any attempts to displace the Palestinians from their land, and we all stand behind the political leadership to protect Egyptian national security and stand against any plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause," added Ashour.
