CAIRO, Feb 3 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi spoke over the phone Monday with Ghanian President John Dramani Mahama to congratulate him on his resounding victory in the presidential elections for the second time.
During the phone conversation, President Sisi affirmed Egypt's keenness on promoting bilateral ties with Ghana, in light of the distinguished relations binding the two countries, said Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el Shenawy.
The two sides also underlined the importance of continuing efforts to promote economic and trade ties between the two countries, added the spokesman.
In this context, President Sisi pointed out the keenness of the Egyptian companies in Ghana on working in spheres of joint interest, referring to the successful experiments of the Egyptian companies and their crucial role in the development process in Ghana.
For his part, the Ghanian president expressed his appreciation for the kind gesture from President Sisi, affirming the outstanding ties binding the two countries.
He further appreciated Egypt's crucial role in supporting his country's efforts to achieve development and build the capabilities of Ghanaian cadres in various fields. (MENA)
