CAIRO, Jan 5 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stressed Egypt's full support for Somalia's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity in accordance with the principles of international law.
Abdelatty made the remarks during his phone call on Sunday with Somali Foreign Minister Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, as they discussed bilateral relations.
The top Egyptian diplomat said Egypt fully supports the Somali government's efforts in countering terrorism and restoring peace in the country, which in turn contributes to enhancing the security and stability of the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea region.
Abdelatty also expressed Egypt's backing of the Somali national institutions and readiness to provide all necessary technical assistance for enabling them to play their role in achieving the aspirations of the Somali people. (MENA)
