MUSCAT, Jan 6 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty urged Omani businessmen to benefit from the promising investment opportunities in Egypt and take part in the development projects implemented by the State.
This came during his participation Monday in the Egyptian-Omani Businessmen Forum, which was held on Monday in Muscat.
The forum was attended by Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais al Yousef and Undersecretary of the Omani Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs Sheikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy along with a host of businessmen and representatives from major Egyptian and Omani companies.
Delivering a speech during the forum, Abdelatty referred to the depth of relations binding Egypt and Oman.
The Egyptian leadership attaches great importance to such ties and taking them to broader horizons, he said.
Abdelatty, meanwhile, shed light on the measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and enhance the infrastructure, including establishing smart cities and developing ports and the transportation sector.
He further underlined the importance of the Egyptian-Omani Businessmen Forum for enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
The top Egyptian diplomat lauded the role played by the private sector in strengthening bilateral ties and increasing the volume of trade exchange. (MENA)
