CAIRO, Dec 22 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ordered to maintain developing the aviation system integrally to attain required goals in economic development action plans.
The move is also meant to promote the participation of the private sector in these efforts as per the state's directives to support the role of the private sector in the national economy, added the president at a meeting with Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salaheddin and Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh el Hefny on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Ahmed el Shazly and Chief of Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ahmed el Azazi.
Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el Shenawy said that President Sisi was posted on the situation of upgrading the civil aviation system, including air navigation, the fleet of planes and airports, in addition to honing the skills of human cadres.
The meeting discussed ways of reviewing the Egyptian aviation development program through the modernization of the infrastructure of different airports, scaling up their capacities and improving services offered to passengers, added Shenawy.
The spokesman said that the meeting discussed as well the role of the air transportation in supporting national development programs through turning Egypt into a global logistics hub.
Efforts are focused on boosting investments and increasing exportation rates and trade exchange along with the tourism movement, added Shenawy. (MENA)
