CAIRO, Dec 21 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty conferred with former tourism minister and UNESCO candidate for general director post Khaled Anani on the future plan for the nomination campaign.

This came during Abdelatty’s reception to Anani on Saturday within the framework of periodic follow up of Abdelatty to the file of Egyptian nomination for the post to stand on the latest developments of the campaign.

The meeting tackled the international supporting stance of France and Brazil that backed Egypt’s nomination for the post, Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Tamim Khallaf.

Anani reviewed the outcome of the intensified tours organized recently by the ministry which included a number of the countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America and Africa where he met with senior officials to listen to the priorities of different countries concerning UNESCO's domains, the spokesman said.

Anani thanked all the bodies of the state, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Egypt’s delegation to UNESCO and all the Egyptian embassies, for the efforts exerted within the framework of his nomination. (MENA)
