CAIRO, Nov 27 (MENA) - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Ambassador Nabil Habashi underlined on Wednesday Egypt’s pivotal role in addressing regional crises and resolving conflicts.

The diplomat's remarks came during his participation in
the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Forum, held under the theme "Unity in Peace: Restoring Trust and Reforming the Future."

During the forum, Ambassador Habashi outlined Egypt's national initiatives aligned with the UNAOC’s principles, which aim to foster communication, promote tolerance, and renew religious discourse.

In the ministerial session of the Group of Friends of the Alliance, Egypt’s speech underlined the importance of multilateral international efforts to bridge cultural divisions, promote cooperation, and counter persistent crises and conflicts arising from stereotypes and misconceptions.

The UNAOC Forum was held under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General and the High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, with participation from state representatives, civil society, and private sector leaders.

The event aimed to facilitate collective and innovative approaches to global challenges, encouraging peace, tolerance, and sustainable development while discarding hatred. (MENA)
