CAIRO, Nov 21 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met on Thursday with members of the Egyptian community in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of his official visit to the capital Kinshasa.
During the meeting, Abdelatty emphasized a top priority of the Foreign Ministry is to promote the constant support and communication of the ministry with the communities living abroad.
He said Egyptian embassies and consulates are playing an active role in following up on conditions of the Egyptian communities and providing them with all services to make it easy for them to stay abroad and remove any obstacles they may face.
The Egyptian state is very interested in supporting the Egyptian communities and offering care to them, added the top Egyptian diplomat.
He talked about the ministry's action plan to develop consular services and launch a number of initiatives for Egyptian expats.
He also discussed the pivotal role of the Egyptian communities in supporting the homeland in general and the main contribution of the Egyptian community in DR Congo in particular in fostering joint cooperation. (MENA)
