CAIRO, Nov 21 (MENA) - The Armed Forces are the most critical pillar of stability in Egypt and the region, especially amidst the crises and conflicts surrounding the country on all areas around it, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said.

The Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces held a meeting Thursday with several senior military leaders at the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Mageed Saqr, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa, and commanders of the main military branches.

Sisi expressed confidence in the pivotal role the military plays in maintaining Egypt's stability, stressing that the Armed Forces are the cornerstone of the country's security and stability.

He pointed out that the region is going through challenging times, with Egypt serving as a key stabilizing factor amidst ongoing developments across its western, southern, eastern, and northeastern borders.

The President highlighted Egypt's moderate foreign policy, noting that the Armed Forces significantly contribute to maintaining both national and international stability.

He remarked that the global community views Egypt’s military as a vital stabilizing force.

Sisi also underscored that the role of the Armed Forces goes beyond military training to actively engage with domestic and international political and security matters.

He extended his greetings to the Armed Forces personnel, emphasizing the importance of continued efforts and training to ensure high levels of efficiency and readiness.

Sisi reiterated that Egypt's security and safety are a collective responsibility, particularly for the military personnel who serve as the nation's first line of defense. (MORE)
