CAIRO, March 28 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday made a phone call to Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb to inquire about his health.
The president prayed for Tayyeb’s swift recovery, wishing him continued good health and well-being, according to statements from both the Presidency and Al Azhar.
In response, the Grand Imam expressed his deep gratitude to President Sisi for his sincere prayers and kind sentiments.
He also commended the president’s support for Azhar and its scholars in promoting moderation and tolerance, reinforcing Egypt’s role in fostering stability and peace in the region.
Sisi and Tayyeb exchanged greetings ahead of Eid al-Fitr, praying that the occasion brings goodness, peace, and security to the Egyptian people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and the world. (MENA)
