CAIRO, March 31 (MENA) - Millions of citizens who gathered Monday morning in various governorates across the country confirmed their absolute rejection of plans to forcibly displace Palestinians and emphasized their support for the political leadership that upholds the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.

The participants in these massive gatherings, held across the country following Eid al-Fitr prayers, raised both the Egyptian and Palestinian flags and emphasized their refusal of plots to banish the Palestinians from their land, chanting slogans in support of the legitimate rights of Palestine and its people.

They also raised photos of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, stressing their full support for all political decisions that support the Palestinian people's rights to freedom, independence and statehood. They chanted, "The land is Palestine's ... Say it, Sisi, and we're with you ... We are all standing with you," reaffirming their unity and their firm rejection of unjust plans to throw Palestinians out of their motherland.

Members of the Coordination Committee of Parties' Youth Leaders and Politicians participated in the massive gatherings across the country after the Eid prayers, supporting Egypt's political stance in favor of the Palestinian cause and rejecting any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland. They were joined by a large number of members from both the House of Representatives and the Senate, who emphasized Egypt’s unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian people's legitimate rights and rejection of any solutions for the Palestinian problem that include displacing Palestinians or infringing on their historical rights.

They joined the demonstrators in raising banners expressing solidarity with Palestine, calling for an end to the war on Gaza and stressing the need for international action to stop Israeli violations, ensure humanitarian aid reaches Gazans, and restore the ceasefire to set the stage for a post-war reconstruction process.

Political party leaders partaking in the massive rallies emphasized that President Sisi’s courageous positions have reinforced Egypt’s resilience in the face of unjust plans to displace the Palestinian people. They confirmed that Egypt is making substantial efforts to alleviate the suffering of Palestinians through humanitarian aid and diplomatic actions aimed at finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. They said that the gathering of millions of Egyptians after the Eid prayers is a message of support for the political leadership and rejection of displacement plans, reflecting the popular stance in support of the leadership and opposition to displacement.

The party leaders, in statements to the Middle East News Agency, affirmed that Egypt will remain a steadfast supporter of the Palestinian cause, and Egyptians will continue to support the Palestinian people in their struggle for restoring their legitimate rights and the establishment of their independent state. They noted that Arab unity and popular solidarity are essential for confronting occupation plans.

The Homat al Watan (Homeland Protectors) Party leaders praised the national stance demonstrated by the Egyptian people following the Eid prayer, where millions of Egyptians expressed their full support for the political leadership’s decisions and their solidarity with the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression, firmly rejecting attempts to displace Palestinians from their lands.

They emphasized that the scenes of Egyptians performing the Eid prayer and organizing solidarity gatherings reflect the deep historical bonds between the Egyptian and Palestinian peoples, confirming that the Palestinian cause will remain the primary issue for Arabs. The party leaders stressed that Egypt, under President Sisi’s leadership, will not allow any attempts to impose a new reality on the Palestinians, whether through displacement or the liquidation of their just cause.

The Ittihad (Union) Party also confirmed that the gathering of millions in various governorates to support the Palestinian cause and reject the forced displacement of Palestinians after the Eid prayers reflects the strong national awareness of the Egyptian people and their belief in the justice of the Palestinian cause.

The part leaders said that these popular stances align completely with Egypt’s official position, which has spared no effort in supporting and defending the Palestinian people’s rights in all international forums. Also, they reaffirmed that Egypt will remain a major supporter of the Palestinian cause due to its historical commitment to the Palestinian people's legitimate rights. They rejected any attempts by Israel, as the occupying power, to impose displacement or liquidation plans, asserting that such actions will not be accepted by the free international community.

The Al Mo’atamar (Conference) Party leaders stressed that the Palestinian cause is deeply ingrained in every Egyptian’s heart and that the official and popular positions are unified against plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause. They noted that since the Israeli aggression on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, the political leadership has been vigorously resisting displacement plans.

They stressed that it is important for the international community to assume its responsibility and stop remaining passive in the face of this blatant aggression. They confirmed that the Egyptian people, united with their leadership, will continue to stand firmly against any attempt to displace the Palestinians and will uphold their rights.

Leaders of the El Gil el Democraty (Democratic Generation) Party emphasized that the massive gatherings held by Egyptians to protest against the Israeli atrocities against innocent civilians, affirm that Palestine remains a major cause of the Egyptian people. They noted that these gatherings demonstrate Egypt’s unity and stability in the face of continued efforts to target it.

In turn, Wafd Party leaders praised the massive demonstrations that took place in Egypt today after the Eid prayers, which reflected the widespread popular rejection of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

They said these popular movements express Egypt's consistent stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting all forms of aggression and violations faced by the Palestinian people. They also demonstrate that the Egyptian people stand united behind the political leadership under President Sisi, “supporting all decisions made to preserve Egypt's national and Arab security.

The party leaders condemned the brutal Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, emphasizing that the occupation forces do not seek peace and are attempting to thwart any efforts to establish a comprehensive and just solution that ensures the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.

They underscored the necessity for the international community to shoulder its responsibilities regarding all crimes perpetrated against Palestinian civilians, urging it to stop complicity with the Israeli killing machine, and to work on reactivating the ceasefire agreement and implementing a plan for the reconstruction of Gaza.

They pointed out that the Egyptian proposal for the reconstruction of Gaza is an important step toward achieving peace and stability in the region, as it includes a ceasefire deal and plans to support Gaza security and development and strengthen the Palestinian people’s presence on their land.

The party leaders concluded that Egypt’s proposed comprehensive plan enjoys growing Arab and international support, placing the international community before its responsibilities in confronting the Israeli violations that threaten the hopes of people for development and prosperity and violate Palestinian and Arab human rights.
