CAIRO, March 9 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli on Sunday reaffirmed the government’s commitment to advancing digital transformation by automating services to streamline procedures and improve service delivery for citizens.

During a meeting to review progress on the national digital agenda, Madbouli stressed the importance of following up on the ministerial committee for social justice’s decision regarding the Unified Services Card and called for its immediate implementation in Port Said.

He emphasized the need to ensure all necessary technical requirements are in place to facilitate citizens' access to services.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and senior officials.

Madbouli underscored the government’s priority to digitize company registration and licensing in coordination with the Ministry of Investment, noting that full automation of these procedures is crucial for investors. He called for a clear action plan with defined timelines to accelerate implementation.

For his part, Talaat provided updates on the Digital Egypt platform, highlighting that several inquiry-based services, such as traffic violation checks, are now exclusively available online.

He added that new digital services such as notary services, which currently require in-person visits are under development, alongside efforts to enhance digital infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted service. (MENA)
