Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to Sudan’s stability and reconstruction, stressing the strong ties between the two nations.

The top diplomat also noted that he had visited Sudan and Port Sudan twice in the past two months under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives.

The meeting covered political, economic, trade, cultural, and educational cooperation, with an agreement to hold a second Egypt-Sudan Business Forum in Sudan, following the success of the first one in Cairo.

A joint task force will be formed to develop a reconstruction plan for Sudan, with Egyptian companies participating in rebuilding efforts, according to him.

Additionally, Abdelatty expressed hope for a swift end to the war and pledged Egypt’s continued support for Sudanese recovery efforts.

Discussions also addressed trade cooperation and the activation of the Egypt-Sudan Joint Committee to enhance economic relations.

“We continue to provide facilities and services for Sudanese citizens in Egypt, including ensuring that over 28,000 Sudanese students could sit for their high school exams,” the minister said. (MORE)
