The top Egyptian diplomat congratulated his Lebanese counterpart on assuming his position in the new Lebanese government, commending the formation of the new government as a significant step towards achieving security and stability in Lebanon.
Egypt is looking forward to promoting cooperation with Lebanon in all sectors, Abdelatty said.
The Egyptian foreign minister underscored the necessity of implementing the ceasefire agreement in southern Lebanon, the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon and the implementation of UN Resolution 1701 by all parties.
Both sides exchanged views on the developments in the Gaza Strip and Syria. (MENA)
