CAIRO, Feb 1 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted full support for the humanitarian and medical initiatives of veteran international cardiothoracic surgeon Magdy Yacoub inside and outside Egypt.
This came on Saturday, during Abdelatty’s reception of the veteran cardiologist where he greeted him on the passage of 15 years on establishing “Magdy Yacoub Heart Foundation”.
Abdelatty lauded the recent unprecedented medical achievement of Yacoub in developing and upgrading heart valves and the role of the foundation as a global medical institution in the field of heart surgeries.
Abdelatty expressed the appreciation of the Egyptian state to Yacoub’s contributions via the foundation and Aswan Heart Center which is offering quality, free-of-charge medical services to the patients in Egypt and the region.
The meeting tackled the latest developments of establishing “Rwanda-Egypt Heart Center” which will offer medical care at an international level in the heart of the African continent. (MENA)
