RAFAH, Jan 31 (MENA) - Tens of thousands of Egyptians gathered Friday at Rafah border crossing as part of the biggest pro-Palestinian rally to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and affirm their rejection of calls to forcibly displace Palestinians from Gaza.
They further affirmed that Egypt will not tolerate any scenario that threatens stability of the region or does not uphold the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
In the rally, the participants accentuated support for the policies adopted by the Egyptian state and the political leadership in their unwavering stance on the Palestinian cause.
They underlined Egypt's stance, which calls for the importance of pursuing the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.
Carrying banners in support of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, the participants in the pro-Palestinian rally - who represent various political parties and forces, and people from various governorates - also raised the flags of Egypt and Palestine, declaring their rejection of displacement and affirming that the Egyptian border is a red line.
They further asserted that the Egyptian people are united, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in taking any procedure to safeguard the Egyptian national security and the Palestinian cause.
Thousands of Egyptians participating in the rally further confirmed that calls for the displacement of Palestinians represent a flagrant violation of international law and a direct threat to the stability of the entire region.
Quoting President Sisi's remarks, the participants affirmed that the Egyptian nation will never be part of any injustice committed against the Palestinian people.
They also expressed their unequivocal rejection of any pressure exerted on the Egyptian State to approve the displacement of Palestinians.
They, meanwhile, stressed the Egyptian nation's support for President Sisi's stance in rejecting displacement plans and any move that poses a real and serious threat to stability in the Middle East region. (MENA)
