CAIRO, Jan 31 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's supportive stance to implementing the cessation of hostilities agreement in South Lebanon, and the demand for the immediate, complete and undiminished withdrawal of Israeli forces from South Lebanon to enable the Lebanese army and state institutions to implement Resolution 1701.
This came during a meeting held Friday in Beirut between Abdelatty and Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate Nawaf Salam.
During the meeting, Abdelatty extended congratulations to Salam for earning the confidence of the majority of Lebanon's House of Representatives to form the new government.
Abelatty also voiced Egypt's keenness on holding cooperation with Lebanon to enhance bilateral cooperation in the various spheres, including developing the infrastructure and contributing to the reconstruction process. (MENA)
