CAIRO, Jan 28 (MENA) - US business magazine Forbes has included Dalia Ibrahim, Chairperson of Nahdet Misr Publishing House and Chairperson of Taheal for VET Skills Excellence, on its list of the Middle East’s 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen 2024 in recognition of her outstanding achievements in publishing, education, and supporting youth initiatives.
In appreciation of her diligent efforts, Ibrahim has won many national and regional awards, including the Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan "Women in Leadership & Entrepreneurship" award at the Arab level in 2023 and the Lifetime Achievement award from the African Women Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) in 2023.
As part of its support for entrepreneurship and education technology (EdTech), Nahdet Misr founded EdVentures in 2017, the first corporate venture in the MENA region dedicated to supporting startups and entrepreneurs in EdTech fields.
It also established Ta'heel for VET Skills Excellence in 2021, the first Egyptian company dedicated to technical education and vocational training. The company’s mission is to bridge the gap between market demands and workforce capabilities by equipping young people with market-relevant skills. (MENA)
