CAIRO, Jan 22 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty lauded the long-standing and historic ties between Egypt and Serbia during a meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday with Ana Brnabić, President of the Serbian National Assembly.

He emphasized the importance of parliamentary collaboration in advancing bilateral relations and invited Brnabić to visit Egypt to further enhance cooperation.

Abdelatty highlighted the outcomes of recent high-level visits, including the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian Senate and Serbia’s National Assembly and the formation of a parliamentary friendship group.

The minister stressed the need for continued political consultations and closer coordination to serve mutual interests.

He also praised events marking 115 years of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Serbia, underscoring the deep-rooted partnership between the two nations. (MENA)
