BRUSSELS, Jan 20 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said Egypt is seeking to become a hub for localizing European industries.
Abdelatty underscored the importance of promoting joint action to achieve more integration between Egyptian and European harbors.
The foreign minister's remarks came at a meeting with CEO of Europe's largest export port, the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Kristof Waterschoot and CEO of Demi Company Luc Vandenloeck in Brussels on Monday.
The foreign minister urged the two companies to scale up the volume of their investments in Egypt.
He also reviewed measures taken by the Egyptian government to set the stage for more business in the country and promote the role of the private sector in the national economy.
Abdelatty said the Egyptian government is paying a greater attention to luring more Belgian companies to do business in clean and green energy sectors and carrying out projects for producing and exporting green hydrogen.
He further asserted that the State is keen to implement the project to produce and export green hydrogen in the seaport of Gargoub. (MENA)
