CAIRO, Jan 14 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi underscored the need to develop the State’s mechanism and tools of financial inclusion.
President Sisi’s remarks came Tuesday during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah, Chairman of the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces Ahmed Azazi and a number of officials.
The meeting reviewed efforts exerted by the CBE to upgrade digital infrastructure and legislative and control aspects for the state-run financial sector to contribute to achieving a leap in the domains of financial technology and e-payments, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el-Shennawy said.
The meeting also touched upon the State’s efforts to enhance financial inclusion and guarantee the integration of all economic sectors into the system of development incorporating digital services offered by the State under the economic reform program.
President Sisi also directed to cope with rapid technological developments of digital banking services to provide clients with better electronic services under the global standards. (MENA)
