CAIRO, Jan 14 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli expressed hope that the new factory of "Geely Auto" in partnership with "Auto Mobility" will represent an important step toward establishing a main hub in Egypt that covers not only the local market, but also the Middle East and Africa regions.

Madbouli, meanwhile, said that he stands fully ready to provide all the necessary support to establish a regional center to serve the whole region.

Madbouli's remarks were held Tuesday at the government's premises at the New Administrative Capital (NAC) with the president of "Geely" Holding Group and the vice chairman of "Geely Auto" Holding Group.

The meeting took up the company's plan to manufacture cars in Egypt within the upcoming period through partnership with "Auto Mobility''.

Madbouli welcomed the president of Geely Holding Group along with his accompanying delegation, expressing appreciation of the current partnership between "Geely Auto" and "Auto Mobility".

For his part, the president of Geely Holding extended thanks and appreciation to the prime minister, saying that his meeting reflects the keenness of the Egyptian State on supporting the foreign investors.

"Geely'' Holding Group hopes that Egypt would be its main destination for all the markets in Africa and the Middle East, he added.

He further reviewed the production capacity of the company's new factory in Egypt.

Chairman of Auto Mobility Fahd Alghanim extended thanks to the Egyptian government over its strenuous efforts in supporting investment climate.

He further referred to the factory, which will be opened to manufacture models from "Geely" brands in Egypt, saying that this will be a first step toward localizing the automotive industry and increasing the percentage of local components.

At the end of the meeting, Madbouli said that Egypt adopts a national program to encourage and support the automotive industry. (MENA)
