Asked about cooperation between Egypt and Chad in the field of fighting terrorism, the foreign minister said that Egypt has relevant experience in combating terrorism and infrastructure dismantling of terrorist organizations' infrastructure.

Egypt has considerable experience in the fields of training and capacity-building, Abdelatty said, adding that there are academies and institutions affiliated with the ministries of defense and interior in this regard.

These academies and institutions are now open to Chadian brothers from the Chadian army and security forces to provide them with training and enhancing their capabilities in the field of counter-terrorism, he added.

The foreign minister underlined the pivotal role of Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), citing the training program provided by the center in the Chadian capital of N'Djamena.

Abdelatty noted that he and Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abderaman Koulamallah will open the center's training session in N'Djamena.

As for Egypt's cooperation with Chad in disseminating the moderate religious awareness, Abdelatty stressed the role of moderate religious institutions, led by Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dar al-Ifta, and the Awqaf Ministry, in providing all support to the brothers in Chad via training imams there.

The largest delegation of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif is present in Chad to spread the values ​​of moderate Islam and the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence regardless of religion, race, and color, Abdelatty further noted. (MORE)
