CAIRO, April 25 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said that Sinai "has inscribed a solid fact in the conscience of Egyptians" that it is an integral part of the land of Egypt, preserved by the will and determination of its people as well as the courage of its army.

"Defending Sinai and protecting every inch of the homeland has been an irrevocable covenant and a firm principle in the faith of all Egyptians, entrenched in the conscience of the nation, generation after generation," Sisi said in a speech on the occasion of the 43rd anniversary of Sinai Liberation.

Sinai had always been a target for the greedy and has remained throughout history a symbol of steadfastness and sacrifice, the president added. (MORE)
