CAIRO, April 6 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli held a meeting to follow up on the progress of infrastructure development in the New Delta Project, a national agricultural initiative receiving direct oversight from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Madbouli underscored the project’s strategic role in expanding Egypt’s arable land, increasing agricultural output, and strengthening food security. He confirmed that weekly reviews will be held to ensure the rapid delivery of key services such as electricity and water.

The meeting was also attended by Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat, officials from the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, and the Future of Egypt Authority.

The project is considered a vital part of Egypt’s plan to boost local food production, reduce dependence on imports, and increase agricultural exports to support national income. (MENA)
