CAIRO, March 18 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah warned of Israel's continued aggression in the Gaza Strip and the ensuing humanitarian consequences and deteriorating situation.

The two leaders cautioned that the continued Israeli aggression would expand the conflict and hinder peace and stability efforts in the region.

They underlined that the international community should shoulder responsibility to push for an immediate ceasefire, put into effect the two-state solution and establish an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This came during a phone call between President Sisi and the Kuwaiti emir on Tuesday, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed Shennawy said.

President Sisi underlined the depth of the historical Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations, lauding the progress and prosperity witnessed in Kuwait under Sheikh Mishal.

For his part, the Kuwait emir highlighted the strong ties between the two countries, stressing keenness on furthering cooperation in all domains to meet the aspirations of their peoples.

The talks also tackled the regional conditions, with both sides condemning Israel's resumption of its aggression in the Gaza Strip leaving behind hundreds of martyrs and injured civilians, including women and children.

They said that this represents a flagrant violation of international law and the Gaza ceasefire agreement. (MENA)
