CAIRO, March 18 (MENA) - Egypt welcomed the conclusion of negotiations on a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan which would help end decades of conflict, establish peace in the South Caucasus and move the region forward toward a more stable and secure future.

In a press release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates issued on Tuesday, Egypt said the historic step is the culmination of efforts of the two countries over recent years, expressing its aspiration that the treaty will be signed between the two friendly countries at the nearest possible time.
