CAIRO, March 17 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty emphasized the importance of upholding national interests and intensifying diplomatic engagements during a virtual meeting with Egyptian ambassadors abroad on Monday.
The meeting, part of the minister’s regular consultations, focused on implementing Egypt’s foreign policy priorities and monitoring embassy operations worldwide.
Abdelatty highlighted the need for extensive efforts to safeguard Egypt’s interests amid current regional and global developments.
He also urged ambassadors to rally support for Egypt’s candidacies in international and regional organizations.
The minister instructed diplomats to prioritize economic diplomacy by attracting foreign investments, enhancing trade exchanges, and promoting Egyptian exports.
He also called for continued engagement with Egyptian expatriates, ensuring high-quality consular services, and accelerating digital transformation to enhance consular operations.
The minister highlighted the role of cultural diplomacy, urging embassies to promote Egypt’s soft power through cultural activities and events to boost Egypt’s international image and attract more foreign tourists. (MENA)
