CAIRO, March 17 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Monday made phone calls with the foreign ministers of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee that groups Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Palestine, Turkey, Nigeria and Indonesia.
Abdelatty's phone calls come within the framework of coordinating positions to advance the Egypt-crafted plan for Gaza reconstruction, in addition to the implementation of outputs of the Extraordinary Arab Summit, which was held in Cairo on March 4 and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's extraordinary meeting in Jeddah on March 7, according to a statement released by the Foreign Ministry.
During the phone conversations, the top Egyptian diplomat discussed with his counterparts how to coordinate stances to push the Arab-Islamic plan for the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza and activate the role of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee.
They underlined the necessity of making the necessary contacts with international parties to mobilize the political and financial support for the Arab-Islamic plan for the early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza. (MENA)
