CAIRO, March 4 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madboui chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday to review a proposed project for producing green hydrogen and ammonia in the Gulf of Suez.

He highlighted the state’s incentives and Egypt’s abundant renewable energy resources, which position the country on the path to achieving carbon neutrality and attracting further investments in this promising sector.
Additionally, the project is expected to provide green fuel for ships transiting the Suez Canal and to supply global markets, strengthening Egypt’s role as a regional energy hub amid increasing international competition.
Madbouli underscored the strategic importance of green fuel production projects in Egypt, aligning with the country's energy sector strategy, which focuses on expanding renewable energy adoption and reducing carbon emissions by decreasing reliance on conventional energy sources. (MENA)
