CAIRO, Feb 25 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi signed Law No. 9 of 2025 on suspension of Law No. 113 of 1939 regarding agricultural land tax and exemption from collecting agriculture land tax from August 1, 2024, until the law is implemented.

The first article of the law, published in the Official Gazette Tuesday, stipulated suspension of enforcing provisions of Law No. 113 of 1939 on agriculture land tax for one year, and the suspension may be extended for another year, as per a Cabinet decision.

The suspension period stipulated in the first paragraph of this article is not included in the period of limitation for due tax.

Article two stipulates that the minister of finance issues necessary decisions to implement the laws' provisions.
