CAIRO, Feb 17 (MENA) - Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly said Monday that the Egyptian government prioritizes healthcare, education, and scientific research and is actively seeking to attract more local and foreign investments in these sectors.

These statements were made during a meeting with Dr Kamal Al-Ghareebi, the Chairman of the Italian San Donato Hospital Group (GSD) and GKSD Holding Investment Group, along with his delegation, at the government's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister commended the expertise of the Italian "San Donato" Hospital Group and the "GKSD" investment holding group in global markets.

He welcomed their plans to establish two significant projects in Egypt, one in healthcare and another for a global university to train specialists in various medical fields.

Dr Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, who attended the meeting along with Hassan Al-Khatib, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, and a number of health ministry officials, noted that the San Donato Hospital Group has been exploring the Egyptian market for several years and recently decided to build a large hospital in New Cairo, alongside a university covering the entire medical sector, including doctors and nursing.

Khatib emphasized the healthcare sector as a top priority and pledged to expedite the establishment of companies for health projects.

Ghareebi praised the Egyptian government for its rapid development of the New Administrative Capital and expressed pride in Egypt as his second homeland. He highlighted that the San Donato Hospital Group, Italy's largest specialized healthcare provider with over 50 medical specialties, is also active in the Polish market and Europe, having acquired several healthcare companies there.

The group is committed to operating in Egypt and, after thoroughly studying the market, has decided to invest by establishing a hospital with approximately 140 beds. This facility will feature advanced technologies to deliver high-quality medical services comparable to global standards, positioning Egypt as a potential healthcare hub for Africa and the Middle East, he said.(MENA)
