CAIRO, Jan 16 (MENA) - Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and a group of Sudanese ministers commended the historic ties binding the two countries.
This came during a meeting which Abdelatty held with the Sudanese ministers of health, transport, justice, finance and economic planning before wrapping up his visit to Port Sudan.
The meeting was also attended by Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Yousuf Al-Sharif.
The talks tackled means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various domains, especially in the health, transport, finance, economic and justice sectors, for the best interests of both sides.
The ministers voiced hope that officials of both countries would exchange more visits in the coming period to explore more promising cooperation opportunities.
Abdelatty and the Sudanese ministers said they are looking forward to holding the second businessmen forum in Sudan in the coming period to boost economic, trade and investment cooperation and incentivize cooperation among the private sectors of both sides.
Abdelatty and the Sudanese ministers also discussed the reconstruction of Sudan in the post-ceasefire period.
Abdelatty highlighted the outstanding potentials of Egyptian companies in various domains in light of their implementation of several development projects in Africa in the fields of construction, energy, agriculture as well as pharmaceutical and food industries.
Abdelatty asserted that Egyptian companies can play a pivotal role in supporting Sudan and its development objectives. (MENA)
