CAIRO, Jan 8 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, conveying President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to extend full support to Lebanon during this critical period.
During the talks, Abdelatty underscored the necessity of a Lebanese-led consensus to resolve the presidential vacuum without external interference, emphasizing the importance of electing a leader capable of addressing Lebanon’s internal and regional challenges.
For his part, Berri expressed deep appreciation to President Sisi and Egypt for their unwavering political and humanitarian support.
He highlighted Egypt’s crucial role in helping Lebanon navigate its current challenges and extended his regards to the Egyptian leadership and people for their solidarity. (MENA)
