CAIRO, Dec 26 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted that the Egyptian community in Chad is considered a bridge of cooperation and development between the two countries.
Abdelatty's remarks came at a meeting he held at the start of his official visit to N'Djamena, Chad, on Thursday with a number of members of the Egyptian community.
Members of the Egyptian community were keen to meet the foreign minster during his visit to the premises of the Egyptian Embassy in N'Djamena.
Abdelatty welcomed members of the Egyptian community and appreciated the vital role it is playing in Chad through contributing to development efforts in different sectors.
The foreign minister tackled efforts aimed at developing consular services offered to Egyptians living abroad and ongoing steps to implement the digital transition plan for consular services in addition to upgrading the digital infrastructure.
Egypt’s top diplomat was posted on all questions and proposals by the community members regarding pressing issues.
He said the Egyptian state is paying a greater attention to provide complete care for Egyptian expats.
He as well highlighted various investment opportunities and advantages offered by the state to Egyptians living abroad.
Abdelatty arrived in N'Djamena, Chad, on Thursday at the start of his official visit to Chad.
Upon arrival, Abdelatty was received by Chadian Minister for Foreign Affairs, African Integration, Chadians Abroad and International Cooperation Abdelrahman Koulamallah.
The visit is aiming to strengthen fraternal relations between the two sisterly countries.
Egypt’s top diplomat is accompanied by a group of Egyptian businessmen and investors.
His agenda includes meetings with senior Chadian officials for talks on ways to foster relations and boost cooperation, as well as to exchange views on regional issues of mutual interest. (MENA)
