CAIRO, Nov 28 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty underscored Egypt's commitment to enhancing cooperation with the European Union (EU) by fostering relations across various political, economic, trade, and scientific sectors.

This effort aligns with the implementation of the pillars of the comprehensive strategic partnership, the top diplomat said during a phone call on Thursday with Oliver Várhelyi, congratulating him on his new role as EU Commissioner for Health.

Abdelatty praised Várhelyi’s valued contributions in elevating Egypt-EU relations to a strategic partnership during his tenure as EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Policy.

He emphasized the importance of economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Egypt and the EU, in line with the current political momentum.

The minister also expressed Egypt’s aspiration for Várhelyi’s support in enhancing the access of Egyptian exports to European markets, particularly agricultural products, and called for efforts to address any obstacles in this regard. (MENA)
