CAIRO, Nov 28 (MENA) – Egypt’s Ambassador to Slovakia Ayman Kamel had a meeting with Slovak Minister of State for Political and Foreign Affairs to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and issues of common interest.
The meeting comes in light of the ongoing arrangements for holding the round of political consultations between Egypt and Slovakia scheduled to be held Tuesday in Cairo.
Kamel said the Egyptian side values the strong relations with Slovakia, expressing Cairo's aspiration to receive the minister of state, based on Egypt's keenness on mutual coordination regarding regional and international issues.
For his part, the Slovak minister expressed his happiness to head the Slovak delegation in the upcoming consultations, stressing that Egypt is a reliable strategic partner for the European Union, especially in light of its central role in the Middle East region and its geographical and historic importance.
He added that Slovakia has always been keen to support Egypt within the European Union at various levels.
The meeting also discussed proposals for ways to enhance bilateral relations and international issues of common interest, and they also reviewed memoranda of understanding that can be concluded on the sidelines of the consultations. (MENA)
