CAIRO, Nov 27 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi signed a presidential decree approving amendments to Police Authority Law as regards appointment of non commissioned officers.
Under the amendments, non commissioned officers will be picked from graduates of police institutes.
Accepted candidates will be exempted from mandatory military service under Law No. 127 of 1980 on military and national service, upon a decision by the Minister of Defense.
The study period at these institutes will be considered part of their military service, provided that graduates complete a total of 13 years of study and in police service.
Applicant must be an Egyptian citizen with both parents holding Egyptian citizenship. Neither the applicant nor their parents must have held citizenship of another country.
The applicant must meet age, health, psychological, physical, and personal requirements set by the Minister of Interior. (MENA)
