CAIRO, Nov 26 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted Egypt’s keenness on promoting cooperation and coordination with the International Paralympic Committee and the commitment of the government to empowering the Paralympic athletes.

Sisi pointed out that the Egyptian state achieved an unprecedented leap within the past ten years in the sports infrastructure in Egypt including establishing the Olympic city in the New Administrative Capital to host events and major sports championships according to international standards.

The president's remarks came while receiving on Tuesday Head of the International Paralympic Committee Andrew Parsons, in presence of Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy and Chairman of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee Hossam el Din Moustafa.

Sisi asserted the keenness of the state on the disabled citizens, adding that the state allocated “differently-abled” day for them annually.

Parsons lauded the efforts exerted by President Sisi and the Egyptian state in boosting the sports system and empowering Egyptian Paralympic athletes, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el Shenawy said. (MENA)
