CAIRO, May 22 (MENA) - The Arab Tourism Organization has chosen New Alamein City as the capital of Arab resorts for 2025, meeting its criteria, including management efficiency, infrastructure, entertainment options, safety, health, environmental protection and tourism adaptability.
This choice reflects the rising status of New Alamein as a leading Arab destination for coastal tourism, thanks to its remarkable urban and tourism boom, unique natural features, advanced tourism services, and modern infrastructure, according to the organization.
The city also stands out for its diverse recreational and cultural activities, hosting major festivals and events during the summer season, along with world-class hotel facilities.
Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathi expressed pride in seeing New Alamein named the capital of Arab resorts, viewing this as a success for Egypt’s comprehensive strategy to develop coastal cities while bearing in mind the concepts of sustainable and upscale tourism.
He confirmed that his ministry, in collaboration with relevant authorities, will organize a series of cultural, artistic, and recreational events throughout 2025 to celebrate the title and enhance tourism services. (MENA)
