CAIRO, April 25 (MENA) - Egyptian Ambassador in New Delhi Kamel Galal conveyed on Friday a message of condolences and solidarity from Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty to his Indian counterpart over the victims of the terrorist attack in Kashmir.
The diplomat, during a meeting with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, reiterated Egypt's condemnation of terrorist acts targeting civilians, expounding Egyptian efforts to fight terrorism through a comprehensive approach that includes drying up the sources of radical ideologies.
The diplomat talked about the positive development witnessed in Egyptian-Indian relations since the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to India in January, 2023 and the signing of a strategic partnership between the two countries in June, 2023.
He underlined the importance of carrying out joint cooperation projects and programs to enhance bilateral cooperation in the different domains in a way that materializes the aspirations of the two peoples for a sustainable and comprehensive development.
The Indian minister reiterated his country’s commitment to boosting its strategic partnership with Egypt, expressing India's eagerness to host the first round of the strategic dialogue between the two countries to explore new vistas of cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral fronts. (MENA)
