CAIRO, April 12 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration Badr Abdelatty received Saturday Egypt's candidate for the position of Director General of UNESCO Khaled el-Anani within the framework of periodic meetings held by the minister to follow up on the Egyptian nomination file.
The meeting, attended by director of the nomination campaign Minister Plenipotentiary Wael Abdel Wahab, reviewed the latest developments in the nomination campaign in light of the recent visit to France, and the support offered by African and Arab countries for the Egyptian candidate, in addition to official support expressed by many countries.
They also discussed the campaign's future action plan and the electoral vision in preparation for the elections that will be held in October 2025.
Abdelatty said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to mobilize regional and international support for the Egyptian candidate during the upcoming period. (MENA)
