CAIRO, April 7 (MENA) - Minister of Defense and Military Production General Abdel Mageed Saqr met Tuesday with his French counterpart Sébastien Lecornu and his accompanying delegation currently visiting Egypt among delegation accompanying French President Emmanuel Macron on his visit.
The meeting took up a number of topics of common interest and ways to enhance military cooperation between the two countries, along with the most important current developments on the regional and international arenas.
The Egyptian defense minister voiced appreciation over continued military cooperation between Egypt and France, highlighting importance of concerted international efforts to calm situation, preserve lives of civilians and secure the flow of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
For his part, the French minister voiced pride over Egyptian-French relations of partnership and fruitful cooperation, especially in the military field, referring to the two sides continued agreement vis-à-vis the various issues that contribute to supporting the pillars of security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, along with a number of commanders of the armed forces of both countries. (MENA)
