The talks also covered existing cooperation in the tourism industry, Abdelatty said during the joint news conference with the Polish foreign minister, noting that Poland ranks as the fifth largest market exporting tourists to Egypt.
A wide range of issues of common interest have also figured high on the agenda of today's talks, including cooperation for infrastructure and economic development, Abdelatty said.
"We affirmed our mutual commitment to work together for increasing the volume of trade exchange," he added.
The talks also touched on the second tranche of the European funding package and the need to speed up its allocation and transfer to Egypt, making use of the role of Poland, which is holding the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union till June 30.
Emphasizing the importance of supporting the implementation of the EU-Egypt Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership, the declaration of which was signed in March, Abdelatty highlighted the two sides' shared positions as regards Egypt's pivotal role at the Arab and African levels.
He noted that the talks had also touched on the situation in the Red Sea, the Libyan crisis, the situation in Syria and Sudan, the Ukrainian crisis, as well as US-Iranian nuclear talks.
Abdelatty said discussions revealed a shared perspective on the need to reach a ceasefire, abandon military solutions, and work for resolving any conflicts through political means.
Abdelatty thanked the Polish foreign minister for his country's efforts in support of Egypt within European institutions. He also expressed appreciation for Poland's support to the international conference on Gaza reconstruction, Cairo will host as soon as a ceasefire is announced in the war-ravaged Palestinian strip.
