CAIRO, April 7 (MENA) - French President Emmanuel Macron and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour witnessed the signing of a number of agreements between Egyptian and French universities to boost cooperation in several scientific and research fields, as well as the exchange of expertise.

The French President listened to a detailed explanation of Cairo University's facilities upon his arrival, where he was briefed on the history of the university's famous dome building, along with a presentation of the university's faculties, institutes, and research centers.

Macron's visit to Cairo University is a move that reflects the deep historical and cultural relations between Egypt and France.

It comes within the framework of efforts aimed at strengthening cultural and scientific cooperation between the two countries and affirms the importance of the role of universities in building bridges of communication between civilizations and peoples.
