CAIRO, April 7 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday emphasized the importance of the Egyptian-French partnership in all domains, saying: " We are counting on France's technological advancement to localize industries in Egypt to reduce pressure on the foreign currency and support the economy, particularly in the domains of agriculture, tourism, and health."
Addressing the Egyptian-French Businessmen Forum, president Sisi hailed French President Emmanuel Macron's visit to Egypt and welcomed leading French companies taking part in the forum.
"We are exerting utmost effort to tap into the French know-how and expertise," President Sisi said.
Egypt has invested heavily in infrastructure in the fields of energy, ports and roads and carried out legislative as well as economic reforms, with a view to creating a favorable business climate, president Sisi added.
Egypt is a mammoth market in the Arab region and Africa and represents a gateway for the French products to Arab and African markets, president Sisi noted.
He added that the majority of the Egyptian population is made of young people under the age of 40, who account for 60 percent of the total population, noting that unlocking their potential would boost the economy. (MORE)
