ROME, March 31 (MENA) - The Egyptian community in Italy expressed their full support for the political leadership's position on rejecting the displacement of Palestinians from their lands, underlining the need for implementing Egypt's plan for Gaza reconstruction, which was endorsed by all Arab states.

On Sunday, Egyptians in Italy took part in protest rallies organized in a number of main squares in the European country to show solidarity with Gaza residents in the face of plots to forcibly displace them.

In statements to MENA on Monday, head of the Egyptian community in northern Italy Ibrahim Younis said Egypt spares no effort in supporting the Palestinian cause, citing Egypt's firm and unwavering stance on rejecting the displacement of Gazans from their lands.

Younis stated Italy backs Egypt's plan for Gaza reconstruction, as well as its tireless endeavors to revive the peace process between Palestinians and Israelis to reach a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian problem, in accordance with the two-state solution. (MENA)
