CAIRO, March 27 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli held on Thursday talks with Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk to follow up on a number of files, including the implementation of the integrated social protection package recently directed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
The package aims at easing burdens on citizens, especially needy brackets, cabinet spokesman Mohamed el Homsani said.
The finance minister stressed that necessary financial allocations were channeled to relevant ministries, ensuring that targeted groups begin receiving the designated services and support.
The meeting was attended by Sherine El Sharkawy, First Assistant Minister of Finance for Economic Affairs, Ali E Sisi, Assistant Minister of Finance for Public Budget Affairs, Magdy Mahfouz, Head of the Finance Sector at the Ministry of Finance, and Ahmed Samir, Head of the Infrastructure Budgets and Economic Affairs Sector at the Ministry.
Kouchouk said the 2025/2026 draft budget, that was approved by the parliament yesterday, includes more financial allocations to the education, health and social protection sectors in a way that will help improve services offered to citizens and achieve more sustainable development goals.
He also reviewed efforts by the ministry in cooperation with relevant bodies to provide further incentives and facilitations for the industrial, productive, and export sectors.
He stressed that such efforts will help achieve the desired objectives, making the business environment more attractive and competitive and enhancing the role of the private sector institutions in various economic activities. (MENA)
