CAIRO, March 18 (MENA) – Moushira Khattab, President of the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR), condemned Israel’s renewed military aggression on Gaza, describing it as a blatant violation of international law and a direct obstacle to humanitarian efforts and reconstruction plans.
In a statement to MENA, Khattab said that the targeting of civilians, including women, children, and the elderly, along with the ongoing blockade of Gaza, demonstrates Israel’s disregard for international legitimacy.
She described these actions as crimes against humanity that necessitate immediate international intervention.
The NCHR head urged the United Nations to grant Palestine full membership, just as it did for Israel.
She stressed that the two-state solution must be a priority, calling on the international community to take decisive action to protect the Palestinian people and stop Israeli violations.
She warned that the ongoing attacks disrupt humanitarian relief efforts and delay reconstruction plans, reinforcing a culture of impunity.
Khattab praised the resilience of the Palestinian people, affirming that their struggle is a fundamental human rights issue.
She called on world powers to take concrete steps toward a just and lasting peace that secures Palestinian rights under international resolutions. (MENA)
